Instagram made me quit my job

For Generator, the award-winning group of urban design hostels, I created several events in European cities.

For Generator,  I invented the popular hashtag #whileinbetween, which was named by Instagram as a best practice for busines example: https://business.instagram.com/inspiration/

For Levi's, I invented #makebikeportraits, one of the most successful brand photo contests – mentioned as best practice by several marketing publications. So far, the hashtag counts 14k tagged photos!

Fo Moët Hennessy I had the idea and did the execution of a compelling empty department store instameet at Germany's iconic KaDeWe.

I created content and photos for Mercedes and Michelin: Example Posting.

I went to Manchester with some fellow European Instagrammers to take pictures and create stories for Aeroflot and Manchester United.

I shot a photo series of the new space of Bocci.

For airberlin I shot a photo series, promoted and co-hosted the #airtramp event.

I consulted Deutsche Bahn in terms of influencer selection, activation and storytelling: Example posting.

I shot the urban originals campaign for smart.

I did the concept, activation and photo shooting for Adidas' Tubular sneaker model

I recently photographed 14 Berlin locations for the print issue of Condé Nast Traveller (available mid of August). 

I shot cinemagraph movie clips for Sennheiser.

I shot a photo series for VIU in collaboration with Stylemag.

I did the activation and I am part of the jury for a photo contest of Berlin's most renowned photo exhibition place C/O Berlin.

I did a photo coverage of the Absolut Art Award in Stockholm.

I created designs for a Casetify campaign.

I shot photos for Uber.

I travelled to Barcelona for Samsonite to create a story and do product shots.

I travelled to Canada for exploreCanada, to Tajikistan and Dubai for Starwood Hotels, visited Mauritius for Lux Resorts, road tripped through Utah for America Unlimited, visited and created content for the official tourism agencies of CopenhagenBologna, Zurich, Saxony and Vienna.

Germany's leading Marketing Magazine W&V named me as top Instagrammer from Germany to know in terms of Instagram marketingAdweek published an article about me. My Instagram account Berlinstagram was featured among the top European accounts by Mashable.

I worked with other brands like Converse, Universal, Spotify, KodakSony, Germanwings, The Guardian, Europcar, Samsung, Sennheiser, Beck's, Nissan and Goodyear.

Amount of social media followers as from September 2015: Instagram 434k, Facebook 33k, Twitter 3.3k, Snapchat 2.5k.

Being on Instagram since the launch of the app, I built an expertise about the platform and its community within more than four years.

Before I decided to focus entirely on Instagram I worked many years as a digital creative in in the fields of online concepts, user experience, and information architecture.

I studied Electronic Business at the University of the Arts Berlin and hold a Master of Arts. 

In my last position I set my priorities on User Experience, trying to achieve the best experience for users while maintaining the needs of the brand's stakeholders. I like to compare this to what I try to do now: acting as an intermediate between the community and brands.
